Service activation (SA) is a mediation layer between user applications and the network equipment. Primary tasks of the SA are:

  • To provide vendor-independed interface to the equipment
  • To get various data from equipment
  • To change configuration
  • To activate the services (perform complex changes on various network equipment on user's demand)

NOC's Service Activation framework supports wide range of network equipment of different vendors.

Another distinguished feature of the NOC's SA is Map/Reduce task - the easy way to execute simultaneous actions of large amount of boxes with following result analysis.
